This week I’m having the obstetrics cycle. This cycle gonna alst for 2 ½ weeks…kinda long. Well, as for today, we were late for class, coz we were not sure, which hospital should we go. Anyways, thank GOD that the teacher was not mad at us, but asked us to prepare well for tomorrow’s topic which is on abnormalities of puerperium.
What is puerperium? It’s the period beginning immediately after the birth of a child and extending for about six weeks. So, for tomorrow’s class, we were asked to prepare about the abnormalities of puerperium, which also can be regard as the puerperal infection; that includes, the endometritis, urinary tract infection, and mastitis.

hectic week
Hi I’m back to share with you again!
Well, the past week was indeed a very hectic week for me.
I had urology cycle, and it was very interesting.
Urology is the branch of medicine that focuses on the urinay tract of males and females, and on the reproductive system of males. Medical professionals specializing in the field of urology are called urologists and are trained to diagnose, treat, and manage patients with urological disorders; The organs covered by urology include the kidneys, ureters, urinary bladder, urethra and the male reproductive organs. In men, the urinary system overlaps with the reproductive system, and in women the urinary tract opens into the vulva. In both sexes, the urinary and reproductive tracts are close together, and disorders of one often affect the other. Urology combines management of medical problems such as urinary infections, and surgical problems such as the correction of congenital abnormalities and the surgical management of cancers. Such abnormalities within the genital region are called genitourinary disorders. Urology is closely related to, and in some cases overlaps with, the medical fields of nephrology, oncology and gynaecology. Well, I find it very interesting to know the basic of this subject. Moreover, my teacher, Mdm, Shumakova, was a very dedicated teacher. She taught us a lot about urology and shared a lot of her experiences during her practise.

Happy Easter 'o8
Happy easter…Jesus loves you.
Well…, today we are celebrating easter. This year easter is celebrated kinda differently, if were to compare to the previous years. This year, we have the celebration in the cell group it self. So, today, me and sien mei, another leader of the cell, woke up so early to prepare for this special celebration.
I, personally, felt, it is real hard to get up so early on Sunday morning to cook. Hey, I knew cooking is my hobby, yet, not at that hour… but, but…because I want to celebrate this day as a very special day, waking up earlier that usual, is no big deal for me. Jesus who loved us so much, that was so willing to die for u and me, and is risen on the 3rd day of his death; his sacrificial, is not comparable to anything in this world. So, what is the fuss of waking up such early this morning, rite?
The 1st thing I did with sien mei was preparing the pasta. Then, we rushed to the nearest supermarket to buy some necessities for the cheese cake. So, after the supermarket, we went to the 5 th hostel to, Sarah Jane’s place. Sarah is one of my group mates, and she loves baking. For your information, she’s really good in baking. So, she helped us and at the same time taught us how to bake the apple cheese cake. Emmmm, it was so yummy.
I really wanted to thank Sarah for helping me.
After baking, we went to the market to get some urgent stuffy for Alice. Then, we went back to our hostel. Thank GOD for ching ching, coz, she’s really a great blessing to us. She helped us with big and small stuff.
After that, we baked chocolate cake, supervised by Elisa. Finally, we started the event, I believed, everyone of us did enjoy a lot, especially when came to the topic bout their lives, during childhood, and how did they grow with their siblings.
The special event is ended with a light refreshment and it’s real delicious !!
Well, today, is really a very tiring day for me. I called home, and I really want to thank God, for blessing me the opportunity to call back to Malaysia and chat with my mum. She encouraged me a lot, and I felt so energetic then.
Well, I think I have to go and sleep now. My eyes are too heavy to open and read. Tomorrow will have a new cycle~ urology.
All in all, I want to thank GOD for today.

2weeks of therapy...
Hmm, today is my last day of therapy. Well, throughout this 2 weeks, I’ve been learning a lot bout the basic of gastroenterology and pulmonology.
Today, we had a sudden credit test, was not informed earlier. My goodness, my question was on pneumonia and chronic pancreatits.
Thank GOD for HIS favour that I can still remember those info that I have studied for the past two weeks.
Along these 2 weeks, I was also very busy completing my case history. Well, this time, I can say it was a lil harder than the previous one…
My patient had acute pneumonia and was diagnosed of having stable angina as associated disease. Throughout these 2 weeks, i realised that i have to brush up my Russian Language, coz, it really gonna have problem in getting information from the patient, in order to complete the case history.
Anyway, I really thank GOD for blessing me the perseverance to complete this task.
Praise the Lord!

Today I went for the Chinese New Year concert. It was very good, and thumbs up for the organizing committee. Me, personally, yup, with lots of laughter, and enjoy to watch the performance by those talented students. Wow, medical student cum dancer, cum singer, cum musician…great people. I’m really impressed by all their performances… they must have work real hard for this concert.
But, I wasn’t 100% happy. There were many stuffs in my mind.
Anyways, sleep now… things gonna get better tomorrow.

Happy Women's Day.
Tomorrow 8th of March, is a holiday in Russia. Holiday means no class for the day. Ah, finally, there is a day that I can wake up a lil’ later than the usual time. This holiday is in conjunction with the Women’s day celebration. No wonder, today, as I walked along the Lenin Street, there were many old lady selling flowers. There were different kind of flowers; there were roses, carnations and etc. Those flowers were sold with extraordinary price.
My group mates bought a bouquet of rose for our dermatology teacher, which cost about 270 Rb. It wasn’t only our group, there were many students did the same thing too.
I remembered when I was in “padfak” (preparatory course), my Russian Language teacher, Madam Nelly, told me that it is a tradition in Russia, where students buy flowers and chocolates for their female teacher. This is to respect and express our gratitude to them. Same thing goes to those who are in the relationships, where the boyfriends will get something special for their girlfriends and the husbands will prepare something meaningful for their wives.
So, Happy Women’s Day to all the women in the world! God bless you. J

It's a happy day (2)
I want to thank GOD for blessing me to get "aftomat" for my dermatology exam, this morning. By the way, "aftomat" means one is exempted from taking an examination.
Praise GOD for it.
Praise GOD for it.
It's a happy day (1)
I am very happy today because today is my friend’s birthday. I wish her all the best in years to come. After class, my group mates and I went to the Baskin robins to have lunch and throw a party for her. Very simple, yet I believed it’s memorable.
We bought her 4 little cute cups. I guess she will love them.
We had a great time there. Besides celebrating birthday, we took the opportunity to strengthen the rapport among the group mates. Isn't that great?

WHY MUST ONE SMOKE???
Today, after lecture, I came back to the hostel with the transport that is provided by the university. Well, after waited for around half and hour, the driver came in to the van, and I thought. “Yes, will be back to my room soon!” But, things didn’t turn out that way. Instead, the driver came in to the van, and started to take his cigarette out and put it between his lips, and started to smoke… can you imagine, he was smoking in the van, without winding down the windows. No ventilation. A few of my friends and I got so suffocated inside. He didn’t even bother to think twice, the consequences of his action made us to be a smoker too, the passive smoker, I mean… I got very irritated with him. After smoking, he went down from the van, and gave us a lame excuse, that, the van is not full yet, there were still vacancies...we told him that we were the last batch for the day, however he didn’t even bother to listen… so, have to wait some more… One of my friends then, opened the window at the roof of the van… Ah, fresh AIR!!!
After some minutes, the driver came, and asked us so rudely, why did we opened the window…we kept silence. He then drove us back. On the way to the hostel, there was a massive traffic jam and we were caught in the jam. The driver again took out another cigarette and smoke.
I just can’t understand, what is so great to smoke, when everybody knows that smoking kills.

Relieved.
Hmmm, finally I managed to complete my case history for Dermatology cycle. This time, the university required the student to prepare two copies of case history- in English and in Russian. Well, to prepare the English case history is a norm to all medical students, but, to write the case history in Russian is a big struggle for me.
I have to look for extra material in Russian language, in order to write a complete and understandable case history.
Thank GOD for my Russian language teacher, Madam Elena, who helped me with my grammars and reconstructed my unclear sentences.
Well, there is more case history, for different subjects, coming up for me to write especially in Russian language. What to do, but to persevere, right??
